We were almost tipped, upside down, with the weight of a ton of wonderful toys donated by a group of amazing young people, students at Taunton High School and members of The Key Club. Rather than our telling the story, we asked Key Club President, Kayla Parrett and Vice President Borodine Chery to tell us their story.
“Taunton High School Key Club is a community service organization. We are a branch of Key Club international which is an international service organization for high school students. As a student-led organization, Key Club’s goal is to encourage leadership through serving others. We complete service projects to give back to the community around us. We decided to donate toys to GiftsToGive this year because these past couple of years have been extremely hard for kids. We wanted to do something that would bring a little bit of joy to their day and we are hopeful that it will help them get through this difficult time.”
When people talk to us about what is wrong with this generation of young people; we smile and tell them the story of the Taunton High School Key Club!
