With a heavy heart, I report that Gilbert Cabral passed this morning.
Gilly was my first New Bedford friend.
He was our first volunteer and subsequently our first Uber Volunteer. Gilly’s volunteer number is 00000001.
Gilly was indefinable. He was undefeatable. He was indefatigable.
I witnessed him struggle and prevail more times than you would believe.
Gilbert Cabral inspired me to be better and to do more. He is a bright and shining light.
God has called a Warrior home.
Gilly was truly loved.
