We’re redefining philanthropy

From providing thousands of local kids a tangible giving and service experience to assembling gift packages of clothes, books and toys to thousands of local children who are homeless or living with their families in poverty, to our tutoring, mentoring and service learning programs, we strive to use our time and our talents to help one another and help build a stronger, more connected community.

HomeWhat We do

Our Environment

Volunteers process donated children’s items to create individual gift packages which are then gifted to local children-in-need. Through the time and talents of volunteers ranging from ages 3 to 85, we are able to put the necessities of childhood directly into the hands of children who might not otherwise have them. From onesies to warm winter clothing for teens, we can find a home for just about anything you and your children no longer use or need.

We also operate a “Saturday Only”  Thrift Store  and sell high quality adult clothing and repurposed home goods at crazy low prices!

Volunteer and Donation Drop-Off Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Wednesday & Saturday: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Sunday: Open by arrangement for groups.

We can’t do this without you.

This work would not be possible without our amazing volunteers or the participation of hundreds of distribution partners. Social workers, teachers, shelter workers and more have the opportunity to log onto our online ordering system and list the items needed by the children in their care. They have the opportunity to include details such as “She likes to read adventure stories and especially likes purple and sparkly things” or “He likes science and monster trucks” so that our volunteers can find the items just right for that child. If you or someone you know is in need of aid, we want to help.

HOW IT WORKS:

Donation Process

Donations are received, then inspected. Donations that pass inspection are sorted by category.

Clothing is inspected 5 times and then sorted by size, gender, and season.

Books are inespected for quality. Volunteers with literature backgrounds sort books by age.

All stuffed animals are frozen, and then heated to kill bed bugs and dust mite.

Some stuffed animals are donated to police departments for children in distress.

Anything not considered a donation for a child is sold in the thrift store.

Gift packages are assembled for each child. These packages include Winter Outerwear, Seasonal Clothing Packs, Book Packs, Newborn Packs, School Packs, and Toy Packs.
