Stand Up Speak Out completed a hugely successful book drive.
Four students from St Paul School in Hingham, Nell Falvey, Emily Kenneally, Gavin D’Souza and Garrett Jones, were elected to attend the Stand Up Speak Out Leadership Conference held at Boston College. As a culminating activity for the day, the students initiated a Book Drive to help a local charity.
The charity that they chose was “GiftsToGive” in New Bedford. The Book Drive collected 780 books that the students delivered to the site in New Bedford. They received a first-hand look at how amazing the commitment of the organization is to help every child have a happy and hopeful life. They all agreed that the experience was a life changing event!
Talking about making a difference and making a difference – it’s not confusing to these future leaders!
