Community, Community Video

Reel Serious has just completed the summer program, Hungry But Not Hopeless in conjunction with the Mayor’s Learn and Serve program and New Bedford Public Schools.

This summer, eight teens embarked on a journey of discovery through research, community service and film production which focused on New Bedford’s hunger issue. For six weeks, they worked together in teams; as well as independently, to ultimately produce four short films.

The Reel Serious: Hungry But Not Hopeless documentary series screening will take place on Sunday, September 21st from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Whaling Museum. We will show four shorts films produced by our teen filmmakers. Followed by a Q&A with the directors. Come out and show your support; meet the filmmakers, organizations and volunteers who provide services and make a difference in our community.

The screening is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome.Reel

We hope to see you there!
