Forever thankful for

Jim Stevens, Founder and CEO of GiftsToGive, grew up on the South Shore of Boston.  After leading a successful career in Corporate America, Jim became a Serial Entrepreneur and though this experience he began to leverage his business acumen and knowledge for a greater good.  A big believer in using your own gifts to lift up your neighbors and community, Jim took a deeper look into Philanthropy.  Where did the money go, how was it spent and what were the outcomes?  Jim realized he could and had to do more. Inspired by his sons, Jim developed a plan to open a non-profit, non-governmental organization that would be 100% managed and run with volunteers, all fellow members of his “Baby Boomer” Generation. It was to be built  to never have a payroll and be fueled by tens of thousands of students. His primary objective is and has always been to connect children directly to the power of giving and service, through their “doing”.  To use Jim’s terms; Tangible Philanthropy and Big Citizenship!  From there, GiftsToGive was born! With a low-cost, high efficiency business model that has a laser focus on building a more connected and caring community. GiftsToGive provides almost immediate assistance to underprivileged children while building a foundation for service, tangible giving, social change and love. Completely volunteer driven, we have never applied for or taken a state or federal grant in the pursuit of these goals. Since 2009, Jim and his “Crew” of volunteers, from ages 3 to 85, learn, experience, share, teach and reinforce important life lessons, every single day.
