My name is Nathan Dos Reis I am a Boy Scout in Troop 20, Squanto District, Old Colony Council. Our troop is located at 400 Faunce Corner Road in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. I am a senior at New Bedford High School and I am enjoying this final year in high school.
I am a Life Scout working on my Eagle Scout, my project is helping homeless and poor teens in my community by providing them with hygiene kits. GiftsToGive has relationships with all the family shelters and teen programs on the SouthCoast – so they have graciously agreed to partner with me in the distribution. For my Eagle Scout Project I collected, assembled and delivered one-hundred kits on February 16.
After learning there were over 500 homeless students in the school district I’ve decided to continue the project for the next four months, to be completed in June 2013. My plan is to assemble at least five-hundred more hygiene kits for GiftsToGive to distribute to students in-need.
I need your help and will be collecting toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, shampoo and conditioner, bar soap, deodorant, combs, wash clothes, face towels and gallon zip bags to hold the kits. Please drop them off at the GiftsToGive Mill and designate them for Nathan’s Project. GiftsToGive has also sent up a donation page if you’d like to help me financially to purchase missing supplies.
