“A team is a group of people linked in a common purpose.

Today, Dartmouth High’s Girls Soccer Team showed great teamwork while volunteering at GiftsToGive. The team has been putting in time at GiftsToGive for the past 3 years and they do not plan on stopping. Head Coach Poirier believes, “the value of a project like this is that young people get an opportunity to find out two things. First, is how well off they are and second, is that there are a whole lot of people who have little or nothing in the way of material things.”

The girls enjoyed sorting clothing and cleaning toys Saturday morning. Sophomore, Sarah said, “I just love making people happy, so volunteering at GiftsToGive is extremely fulfilling.”

Not only were the girls excited by the trip, but they were surprised by how advanced the facility had become over the past year. Some of the girls had not yet been to the new building and loved how large it was. Junior, Megan said, “I expected to see a lot of toys and clothes, but I didn’t expect this much!” Other girls who had been there the year before were surprised by the improvements that had taken place in just one year. Overall, Dartmouth High’s Girls Soccer Team had a lot of fun volunteering at GiftsToGive and they cannot wait to come back next year!”
