District Governor Roland Grenier Jr., with the help of his 1st Vice District Governor Sharon Audette, accepted the 1st International service challenge by collecting hundreds of school supplies, clothing and children’s books from the Lions Clubs of District33S, a District that covers an area from Rockland to Attleboro to Swansea to Provincetown and back to Rockland.

All the much needed supplies were brought to us over the last week. The Lions of District 33S will continue to collect these needed supplies throughout the year with everyone’s help.

Jim Stevens, our CEO had this to say: “We are so grateful for the Lion’s adopting us as they have, their combined donation will help hundreds of local children. We looking forward to working with the Lions clubs collectively and individually. Their commitment to service inspires us.”

This service project was sent out to all Lions Clubs by this year’s Lions International President, Dr. Jitsuhiro Yamada. In Dr. Yamada’s travels around the world he has always found children in need of food, medical, education, housing and more. All these things that children cannot do for themselves but need help from others. President Yamada sent out a challenge to all Lion’s District Governors and all Lions to help out children during Children’s Dignity Week.
