WHAT: We are interested in engaging High School Students from New Bedford High School, GNB Vocational Technical High School and Fairhaven High School.

WHY: To give students an opportunity to learn about robotics and teamwork. It’s also a terrific way to make new friends, grow, as a person, and experience first hand, tangible science.

EXTRAORDINARY INSTRUCTORS:

Nelson Bernardo is a licensed general contractor and professional civil engineer. He is an instructor at Bristol Community College and teaches at Fairhaven High School.

Our inaugural class will be four students from each high school, for a total of twelve. Students will learn how to write simple computer codes for robots, as well as build their own functioning robots to complete tasks and challenges, while having fun the whole way through. Team competition at outside events is also planned.
